Hi! I chose to send this to you and others whom I hope will help. I am determined to raise $5,000 to feed and clothe needy people in our community. The Salvation Army Bed and Bread program feeds, clothes, and provides comfort to 5,000 people in the Detroit area each day. As a board member, I have ridden on the truck and had direct contact with those suffering from severe poverty. I ask that you support me by making a pledge of $25.00 or more to my Belle Isle snowshoe walk on January 31, 2015.
Why snowshoeing? To draw attention to the harsh conditions many people cannot avoid. I like to snowshoe. The equipment makes it easier to get around, and I can stop and go inside whenever I want. Many people don't have a choice. They are out in the cold without equipment and without the comforts we take for granted.
I ask again for your support. If you want to learn more about this program, please visit: www.salmich.org.
Thank you and may God bless you,
Toby
