Kirin’s Brain Surgery Recovery
Don protégé
Hello this is Kirin’s Family. As many of you may know, Kirin was diagnosed with a 2.5cm brain tumor on September 19th, 2023. Despite undergoing radiation treatment on October 6th, 2023, the tumor unfortunately did not respond as we had hoped. During this time of waiting for results, the tumor continued to grow about a Centimetre bigger, leaving us with no other choice but to proceed with a major brain surgery called craniotomy on January 22nd, 2024.
We are relieved to share that the surgery was a success and the tumor was successfully removed. However radiation and further treatment will be needed again to ensure that no other tumors pop up in the brain area. Kirin's road to recovery is still a long one as her family we are committed to doing everything we can to support her during this difficult time. This includes necessary equipment and making adjustments/modifications to our home to ensure her safety and comfort as she heals.
As you can imagine, these adjustments come with a significant cost. That is why we are reaching out to our community for support. We are very grateful for all our support so far. Kirin is a strong, outgoing, and hardworking woman who loves her job. Unfortunately during this journey Kirin has been off work since diagnosed (september) and will continue to be off work for about 6 months. She has always been the one to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference in Kirin's recovery journey. We are grateful for your love, prayers, and support during this challenging time. Thank you for aiding her recovery.
Thank you all again
