I am a single mother of two boys, one who has high-functioning autism.  I am raising money for my son, Kip, to work with a developmental coach twice a month.  This therapy is not covered by insurance.  The therapist I found is completing his PhD in connection with the Mind Institute and comes highly recommended be Dr. Barbara Kalmanson who is on the faculty of ICDL - a program connected with Dr. Greenspan's work and Floortime.  Kip has not had a friend and relies socially on 
his brother.  I am hoping that after a year working with his "coach", Kip will gain the confidence, skills and desire to have a friendship.  We will be starting the therapy in two weeks and I will use the money to pay for one year of "coaching" for Kip.

This is the result of a long search in the area for a therapist  who works globally and takes relationships,  with family  and  a child's environment into consideration as needs arise.     Kip's therapy will not only benefit him, but will benefit the three of us in a profound way. 

My dream is for Kip to begin to form meaningful relationships,  express himself and become comfortable with who he is - having some help paying for this year of therapy will take some of the financial strain off and really help.
