Kinderpalliativ Zentrum München Holiday Event
Donation protected
After our own stay with our daughter Amalia at the Children's Palliative Center in Munich during the Christmas holidays of 2017, we have organised a holiday gift drive and event for families like ours, who have a child in palliative care.
Our goal this year is two-fold:
First is to provide for 20 -25 families in palliative care who have the most financial need useful holiday gifts and services. This ranges from special comfort items for their medically complex child like blankets or teddy bears, to daily needs, like vouchers for loading their pre-paid mobile phones.
The second is to provide families wh spending their holidays at the Children's Palliative Center some holiday cheer. We organise a holiday luncheon with delicious catered food, live music, a craft activity for the whole family, photo opportunities and massages for the parents to relieve some of the stress.
Your generous donations go directly to fund both initiatives, including things like:
- speciality items for medically complex terminally ill children (therapeutic items, clothing, etc.)
- vouchers for groceries, mobile phone expenses, etc.
- activities and wellness offers we provide the families on Christmas day
Amalia passed on September 6 of this year at the age of 7.5. We cannot think of a better way to honour her legacy and celebrate the holidays than to continue this campaign.
Any additional monies raised during the next few weeks, will be rolled over to the Sticky Fingers Familien e.V. (www.stickyfingersfamilienev.de), a charity we created specifically to provide those families with a child in palliative care wellness services and support.
Thank you for your love and support!
