Kimpton Love

As we pride ourselves on allowing everyone to come as they are, to treat each other with respect and work together as a family, I'd like to ask for your help.

One of our colleagues recently travelled to her home country to visit her ill mother. Tragically within the first few days of her arrival, her mother passed away in her arms. As they were the only two in the house at the time of her mother's passing, she called the police for help. Unfortunately, it is common practice for the police to initially consider a death with some suspicion and thus our colleague had to travel to and from the police station and other organizations to assist the police in their investigation and at the same time organize the necessities in a loved ones passing.

As the only one in the family with an income, all unexpected costs fell upon our colleague to settle. The money that she had painstakingly saved up for, all vanished in the blink of an eye. Due to all these expenses, they currently do not have enough funds to give their mother a worthy burial. Her mother is currently being kept in a funeral home until enough money can be saved to pay for a funeral.

As a single mother herself, it'll probably take until the end of the summer for her to get the money together. On top of the pain of losing a parent, and seeing your savings vanish, I can't imagine how it must be to not be able to give your mother a funeral in the foreseeable future.
