Don protégé
On February 25, 2019, my incredible little sister Kimberly was diagnosed with Stage 1, triple negative breast cancer. In one 5-minute phone call with her doctor, her and her family’s life was forever changed. Her prognosis is positive, and we have no doubt she will come through this fight stronger than ever. With that said, the road she will face over the next several months will be a challenge that has only just begun.
We know Kimberly’s treatment plan includes 16 rounds of chemo, surgery, and an undetermined amount of radiation. The wonderful news is that her body is responding to the 2 rounds of chemo she has had so far. The tumor is already shrinking!!
The emotional and financial burden of battling breast cancer is a challenge at any stage of life, but as a 33-year-old mother to two beautiful little girls, it somehow seems even more unfair and cruel. Kimberly is the most caring, strong-willed, funny, smartest, bravest and all-around greatest person I know, and I am sure you all agree!
Kimberly deserves, and needs, our love and support now more than ever; this is where you and this fund come in. The medical bills have only started to roll in and add up. We are reaching out to our amazing and supportive network of family and friends to help in any and every shape or form. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be a huge help to Kimberly and her family during this battle.
A few examples of what the funds raised through this site will be used for:
• Medical treatment cost (chemo, radiation, and other medications)
• Surgery and Reconstruction.
• Bills and other expense that she will incur while out of work post-surgery.
• Any other unanticipated costs that come along with this fight.
