Miranda's trips to The James
Donation protected
Miranda has a very rare cancer called Epitheliod Sarcoma, she has been fighting since May of 2014.
During her fight she has lost her left leg below the knee due to the sarcoma starting in the main nerve of her left foot. She was cancer free until June of 2015 when preventative scans found that the sarcoma has spread to her right lung and an area in her right pelvis. Because the tumor in her right lung had spread so fast and grew so quickly and large, surgery would require removing the entire lung and the doses of radiation would be so massive to shrink the tumor, it would result in death, strong doses of chemotherapy were recommended.
Miranda has been traveling to Wheeling, West Virginia to OVMC, who has partnered with The James Medical Center in Columbus for treatment to save on funds. Praise the Lord the treatment has been working. The tumors have shrunk in millimeters which is huge in the sarcoma world and they have also shrunk in density which means more cystic-like tumors have a better chance of going into remission.
Miranda has one more round of chemotherapy at OVMC, in Wheeling and then she and her husband Joe must start traveling to Columbus, Ohio for a new try of immunotherapy only offered at The James called PD-1. We are asking for donations for travel expenses for them (gasoline, food, and lodging). As they will have to go every 2-3 weeks for the immunotherapy and most likely will have to stay overnight each time.
Any amount of donation is appreciated to help in her fight against cancer.
