Hola, Kevin here!
I need you ONE LAST TIME to help me fund my graduate film
Here’s what you should know about THE FIRST PERSON I NEVER TOLD
- 1. It’s based on a true story.
The film is inspired by my husband’s coming-out story... we actually co-wrote it together. If you want the behind-the-scenes, follow us on Instagram: @tfpint_shortfilm
- 2. It’s a QUEER film.
This is the first time I’m writing and directing a film that openly explores queer identity. It means the world to me and my crew to tell a story that celebrates vulnerability, courage, and love. My hope is that this film becomes a little spark, a conversation starter, or maybe even a quiet comfort for someone out there still figuring things out.
- 3. It’s my GRADUATE film.
This is the last time I’ll have access to university resources so it’s my final shot to create something truly meaningful before stepping into the industry.
As an international student, this film isn’t just a project — it’s an opportunity to open doors for myself and for everyone who’s poured their time, talent, and heart into it.
- 4. I want to make you CRY (in the best way possible).
That’s what I loooooove most about filmmaking, creating worlds and making people feel.
So please, if you can, donate any amount. Every little bit helps us bring this story to life.
Here’s a very rough breakdown of expenses (and why the goal is higher this time):
Props & Costumes: $650
Locations (4 total, including hospital scenes): $2,100
Post-production stuff: $300
Plus: Paying actors, catering, transport, and all those small-but-important details that make it real.
Gracias for reading, for sharing, and for always believing in my work. Let’s make this last one count.
My portfolio in case you wanna have a look at my previous work
PS I don’t want to spoil the story for you, but if you’d like to read the script before donating, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’d love to share it with you.
