Kevin's Quest for Scleroderma Cure

Hello. My names Kevin Flechel from Spokane, Wash. I was diagnosed in 2014 with the horrible auto-immune disease Scleroderma. It hardens organs, leading to death within 5-10 years usually. I just lost fellow patient & Spokanite Cat Davis in May after her courageous 12 year battle. I hope to make her spirit proud.

Scleroderma left me disabled within 4 months of initial symptoms. After a failed attempt at stem cell transplant in Seattle, I ended up in Chicago, undergoing stem cell transplant (HSCT) in April 2017. On day 2 I started coughing blood, got a Flu B Dx 2 hours after receiving my stem cells. I took this as death sentence being my immune system was now eliminated. After 12 days of no sleep, calling friends saying goodbyes, I amazingly survived. Had 2 good years, was able to ride bike again, workout as energy allowed. I relapsed in May 2019. I've contacted facilities in Florida, Duke, Houston, Michigan, L.A., Seattle again before Dr Nash in Denver accepted me for a rare 2nd Stem Cell Transplant. I tested throughout November, December 2020, collected my own stem cells late December. Was scheduled for transplant in January, however a repeated infection of right wrist, subsequent replacement September 20 has finally healed allowing my transplant.

I was on way back to Denver when transmission failure stranded me in Pocatello for a month. After 2 failed plans, I was scammed out of $1200 costing additional lodging expenses as well. Along with $5000+ expenses from 1st stay in Denver, has put me $13000 in debt., as Scleroderma has continued ravaging my body & soul. Thank you for your time & consideration.
