CHSR-FM has always been more than just a radio station—it’s a home for voices that don’t often get heard.

We’re Fredericton’s only alternative, independent campus/community radio station, built by and for the people who live here. Every day, CHSR brings local music, local stories, and local culture to the airwaves. From emerging artists playing their first tracks to volunteers learning how to share their perspectives with the community, we exist to amplify voices you won’t find anywhere else.

Across Canada, many independent and campus media outlets are navigating a shift as funding continues to decline. While CHSR remains committed to serving our community, these changes mean we have to work harder to maintain our equipment, support our volunteers, and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

This matters because CHSR isn’t just a station—it’s a platform. It’s a place where creativity thrives, where community members connect, and where Fredericton’s culture is reflected back to itself. Without support, spaces like this risk disappearing, and with them, the diversity of voices that make our community vibrant.

That’s why we’re asking for your help during our annual Fundrive.
