On December 4th 2017, Kenny went to the emergency room experiencing what he thought was severe indegestion, but what actually turned out to be a heart attack. He was admitted for a wide variety of different tests, which came back to show this was not the first, but one of several heart attacks he had experienced. Unfortunately, he was not aware he was having these silent heart attacks leading to scarring, deterioration and for lack of better words deadning parts of his heart. Stints/Heart Cath. were not an option, because of the extensive damage and blockage so at that point they thought the best treatment was having bypass. On December 12th, Kenny had his triple bypass surgery, and thankfully it was successful. His doctor is hopeful that by having had the bypass, it will help revitalize the damaged parts of his heart. He has since been taken off the ventilator and has been able to sit up, and walk to a chair next to his bed.....which is great progress. As expected, he is still in a lot of pain, but we are hopeful that he will bounce back quickly. 

As you can assume, having this unexpected medical stay creates much financial stress. It's likely that Kenny will be forced to retire from the pipeline life he has been a part of for over 35 years. Many of you have worked along side him, and know what a wonderful person he is. He and his wife Julie have helped countless families in need several times over, and it's time we step in and do that for them. Pipeline family has always come together to help our brothers and sisters, and this is one of those times. Please give whatever your heart tells you/whatever you can.

They would not ask for a dime, but I will on their behalf and will make sure they get every bit of it.
