Kendrick's Reading Success

HeIlo, I am Ashley Nicole and I am fundraising to help pay for tutoring for my 7-year-old son, Kendrick. Kendrick is a very intelligent, inquisitive, spirited, and energetic child, a typical boy. But, his confidence is shaken when it comes to reading and writing even the most basic words he should know at his current grade level (2). Kendrick owns an entire library of books, but he has such a hard time reading fluently that it has brought him (and me) to tears. He is doing well in maths and sciences, but is currently reading below grade level and requires a lot of direction when it comes to school work. He is involved in many activities including swimming classes, basketball, and a ninja warrior gym.

Kendrick has been staying after school to get additional reading help with little to no improvement. So, a success-proven tutoring program is our next step. Unfortunately, all of the best programs are very expensive and beyond our current budget. Anything you can contribute will help Kendrick achieve the reading skills and confidence he desperately needs.
