A few weeks ago we found out that Kelli's cancer has returned. This time it is Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer that has spread to the bones. It is so aggressive it has deteriorated most of her sternum. Because of being what they call Triple Negative, the location and stage the feel it is inoperable and not curable. All of Kelli's doctors in SC are out of network for insurance so the bills are astronomical. We decided, with the support of the oncologist, to go to MD Anderson for a 2nd opinion and to possibly get into a clinical trial for treatment. The expense of traveling, out of network medical bills and just regular life is causing a financial strain on our family.
