Haitian Exodus

Charlotte is moving to Haiti for at least a few months to take custody of the boys to get them out of a horrifically abusive situation.

Although a poverty-stricken nation, it is very expensive to live in Haiti. A safe place to stay is pricey, and food is even more expensive. Charlotte can increase her student loans so that she can fly back once a month for school so that she doesn't have to drop out of Darden, but with her taking unpaid leave from work, indefinite living expenses in two countries are mounting.

So many of you have so generously and graciously offered to help, and we are forever grateful. If you feel so compelled, you can contribute towards our living expenses and plane tickets to eventually bring the boys HOME.

(If you have extra airline miles that you would be willing to transfer to us- the airlines that fly into Haiti are JetBlue, Delta and American. Thank you!)

Another way to help would be to be someone that Derek could ask to let our dog out during lunchtime when Derek has a client meeting and cannot come home to let her out.
