Keeping Mommy and Baby Together

Hello, I’m the mother of Dylan. He was born at 31 weeks due to my water breaking (spontaneous rupture) and had to be transferred to the NICU nearly 2 hours away from his home town.

I’ve been staying in a reduced-cost hotel room for the last two weeks, trying to help him gain strength and provide him with my pumped milk, which he gets via a feeding tube.

Dad and his two brothers (3yrs and 12yrs) have been at home and have yet to meet baby Dylan. I went into labor in the wee hours of the morning, Ubered by myself, and had to labor and birth him alone. He was transferred so quickly, no one even had the chance to see him.

I have depleted our savings on the discounted hotel room and food/waters, and have received as much assistance from our families and the hospital as possible.

I am asking for donations to help get the boys to town to see me, and allow my spouse the opportunity to meet his son.

I am also fundraising to cover the reduced hotel costs of $30 a night. I will only be allowed to stay there for another 2 weeks maximum, and that’s only if there is open availability. After that I’m going to have to figure out other lodging, because Dylan’s prognosis is that he likely won’t be discharged until the end of March.

I pray for him, his nurses, and our family daily, hoping for a miracle because most times that’s what it feels like we need here.
