Keep the Spirit of Winter Walk Alive in 2020

Cancel Winter Walk? No way! Do it safely? Absolutely!

For the past 23 years, Hudson Hall at the Hudson Opera House has produced Winter Walk -- and this year will be no different! What began as a one-block party grew into Hudson’s most festive event of the year and the busiest night for many local shops and restaurants. 

This year, producing Winter Walk is a huge challenge and we need your help.

Like so many live events venues, the pandemic has hit Hudson Hall hard. 

When the coronavirus crisis shut our city down, we stepped up to support our community through the Shared Streets initiative, PPE distribution and our Workforce Development program. We kept our staff employed and maintained our historic building to ensure we would be ready to open when it was safe to do so.  

But with no reopening dates for the live arts in sight, we're stretched to breaking point. Our local shops and restaurants are also suffering. Our community has been under enormous stress.

In short, we ALL need something to look forward to as winter settles in. Some cheer and joy...

In 2020, we need Winter Walk more than ever. This can only happen if we continue to come together as a community. Please join us in producing Winter Walk this year...

Free gift-wrapped books for every child

Please note: Hudson Hall, Mayor Kamal Johnson and Columbia County Department of Health Director Jack Mabb announced fireworks planned for Saturday, December 5, have been postponed until 2021. All other activities for Winter Walk: The Hudson Safe Edition to proceed as scheduled.
