Kathy Barbier Dean Kidney Fund

My name is Kathy Barbier Dean & I am 70 yrs old. Ten months ago I was diagnosed with a rare Kidney disease called Fibrillary Glomerulonephritis which only 2 present of the population has. Therefore no research has been done to find a cure. I also have chronic proteinuria, chronic hypertension & chronic anemia. This past week I was also diagnosed with enlarged left Atrium. I have started the evaluation process for a Kidney Transplant which is necessary since both Kidneys are diseased. I also am my fathers caretaker. He is 98 yrs old. I was still working till 4 weeks ago due to extreme fatigue & weakness. Although I get social security that is not nearly enough to live on that's why I was still working. As for insurance Medicare will only pay 80 percent. I am responsible for 20 percent of the transplant cost plus all of test I am going through. Once I have the transplant I am responsible for 33 percent of cost for the antibiotics & the anti rejection medication will need to take for the rest of my life. I am not in the habit of asking for help but I am. I great fully appreciate whatever help you can give. Thank you.
