Kathy and Evan Turner Financial Help

Hello everyone. My name is Jenn and I am the daughter of Evan and Kathy Turner. These last several years have been very hard on our family. My Dad is in end stage kidney failure and has been on at home dialysis 7 nights a week, every week. It has left him in a very weakened state. Along with kidney failure, he has also suffered major stomach upsets- causing him to barely eat and has gone from 180lbs just a couple years ago to 130lbs today. He was the owner of Turner Home Repairs, but is unable to work anymore due to his illness. My mom has been working at the Day Care for the last several years and has been the sole provider.

Unfortunately and heartbreakingly my Mother was diagnosed with Leukemia today after suffering bouts of several illnesses over the past year. She has also been in major pain and is in need of both foot and back surgery. She is being taken by ambulance to the UPMC cancer center in Pittsburgh. This is such a burden no family should have to go through, yet unfortunately so many people are suffering. To have both the heads of household in such a terrible state has been devastating.

My parents have been a lifeline for my brother and for myself. Whenever we were in need they were always there for us. I also know many of their friends can say the same thing. My parents have time and time again dropped everything to be there for anyone who needed it and now today they need you.

They are such hardworking and caring people who love God with all of their hearts. What I’m asking for, I know they won’t want me to do but for everything they have done for everyone else, I feel the need to do whatever we can to help them!

She will not be able to work anymore, so we are asking for help with their monthly household and medical expenses over the next 12 months. Now is the time to focus on healing and fighting to stay alive. Removing the financial burden from them will do wonders for not only their mental but physical wellbeing.

Kathy is now at UPMC Shadyside.

She is going to receive blood because her hemoglobin is really low, and is scheduled to have a bone marrow biopsy later in the day. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!
