Yesterday afternoon, I lost my grandmother someone who not only treated me as a grandson, but as if I was her own son. My grandmother was the glue that held the family together, a sense of security when all else failed, someone who would sit and wait hours on end just to make sure she called and said she loved us. There’s no words to truly describe how much she meant to us. She was emitted to St. Luke’s Fountain Hill on 4/25/24 for an infection in her foot. She was diabetic so the infection only grew worse, up her leg and two toes were amputated. After back to back surgeries, she fell while being assisted to the bathroom under two nurses care and she needed another surgery for her hip which ended up being too much on her body and she was taken into the ICU where she passed at 6:02pm two days later. Today, 4/4/24 would have been here 69th birthday. Please share or donate if you can, anything will help my family through this devastating time.
