Kathie's Heart Surgery

Those of you that know Kathie, know she would never ask for help. That is why we, those that love her so dearly, are doing just that on her behalf.

Prior to having a procedure done (heart stent put in) to fix a partial blockage and repair a valve in her heart (a hereditary defect she was born with), doctors recommended that Kathie travel to Oahu to have several tests done, including an echo-cardiogram, TTE, CAT scan and blood work-up. The results showed that she would, instead, have to have open heart surgery as soon as possible, as they discovered an aneurysm that needs to be removed. 

We are trying to raise money to help with medical expenses that are not covered by Medicare, as well as airfare and hotel costs incurred due to having to travel to Oahu for surgery and post-op checks. 

This amazing mother/grandmother, who never complains, needs our help and support. She will have a painful recovery ahead of her and a massive pile of medical bills.
