Katherine's shaving her head!
Ever since I was a little girl, my hair has been a defining part of who I am. From the moments spent teaching myself to braid in the bathroom mirror to my mom crafting updos for dance competitions, I’ve always been captivated by how my hair made me feel. Since 6 years ago when I first dyed my hair, it has been a constant canvas – highlighted, colored, always changing.
As I grew older, this obsession for each strand of hair to look perfect only intensified until it all became too much. I'm letting go and shaving my head to find confidence in myself without my trademark locks.
This decision is about more than just me, though. While I’ve been fixated on my hair, countless cancer patients, including my loved ones, face an entirely different battle as they lose their hair to chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments. Alongside fighting a life-threatening disease, they must also rediscover their sense of self whilst undergoing the toughest of transformations. That’s why I am donating to Cancer Research Wales, a charity dedicated to advancing cancer research, developing life-saving treatments, and supporting those navigating the challenges of this disease.
Join me to shave away both hair and injustice!! Please please please donate and share the link with friends, family, & anyone who can help.
WILL THE REAL SLIM SHADY PLEASE STAND UP?
If we get to £800, I will bleach the buzz.
