Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for Elijah’s Road To Recovery! As you know Elijah whom is 7 years old was bit under his left knee on Friday June 3, 2022 from a Venomous Water Moccasin snake in Green Cove Springs. Elijah was rushed to the hospital and then immediately transported to Wolfsons Children's Hospital downtown for Intensive Treatment. Elijah went into shock in the ER and develop swelling on his scrotum, swelling on his whole left leg down to the ankle, his body became as hot as a oven, and his leg became as hard as a rock with black and blue discoloration. Elijah was given morphine, Tylenol, and 7 bags of Antivenom to stabilize him and the excruciating pain. Elijah did not eat or drink for 4 days and had to get a feeding tube. Elijah was hospitalized for 4 days before discharging with a walker. However, Elijah is still currently bed bound and still has swelling on his left leg where he was bit, is unable to walk, and will have to have physical therapy for a while to gain muscle strength to learn to walk. I (his mom) work 2 jobs as a CNA and overnight at Hilton and since Elijah needs 24hr care I had to take a leave of absence from my job with no pay to help my son recover and learn to how to walk again!!! These funds will be used to assist Elijah with his medical expenses, 24hr care, and etc… We will greatly appreciate any donations for Elijah! Keep praying for his recovery he is a fighter and refuse to give up!!!
