Karl's fight against Brain Tumor Glioblastoma

Karl Schleinkofer a 67-year-old married father of 5 from Shillington, Pennsylvania, is suffering from a

Grade 4 Glioblastoma (terminal brain cancer). Family and friends are asking for your support for

$10,000.00 dollars so he can afford his chemotherapy medicine, MRI scans, and to pay for gas to get him to numerous Oncology and other doctor appointments. Karl will have to stay on chemotherapy for the rest of his life.

Never did anyone in our family think that we would have to ask friends for their financial help.

Karl has always been a hardworking family man that is now in the fight of his life.

On May 6, 2021, Karl suffered a seizure while at work. He was taken to St.Joseph's Hospital initially

thought to be suffering a stroke but scans gave the devastating news of a Grade 4 Glioblastoma.

Traveling between St.Joseph's hospital and Hershey Medical center, over an hour from his in-laws

home, to meet with a specialist to learn that he would not qualify to have surgery to resect cancer as the tumor is too large to be removed. The prognosis for this type of brain cancer is 12 to 18 months.

Approximately three weeks after diagnosis Karl started his radiation therapy treatments every day and

two times on Fridays, totaling 35 sessions, all the while receiving chemotherapy. The tumor, along with the side effects of his treatments, has made it impossible for him to drive and work. Many days he experiences nausea, exhaustion, and severe headaches. The location of Karl's tumor has affected Karl's balance. He has fallen many times and has had to be taken to the emergency room by an ambulance,

gratefully only sustaining minor injuries.

Through the love and support of his wife and children, he is fighting for his future. Additionally, Karl Marion and their children are so grateful for the support of his in-laws, Christina and Joseph Hyde

moving into their home at this very difficult.

We are painfully aware of the financial strains that every person and family is facing in this current time.
