Karen's Struggle and Prosthetic

Hi my name is Amy and my best friend Karen has been through so much in the last few months. When I say her whole life changed in a little over 90 days I mean it dramatically changed. First she was told by her husband of 16 years he wanted a divorce on July 10th. After being with the same person 18 years it was a bit of a surprise. Meaning she would have to find a new place to live and start over. Then things started from there. She went to the ER with leg pain in July to find a clot behind her knee.

August 10th Karen had to go in for surgery to remove the clot and received staples.

Aug 28th she had to move out, then went back to have her staples removed and things got worse.

Sept 9th she had to have her foot amputated due to not receiving blood flow to it from the surgery. Thinking she was in the clear her hopes were starting to look up a little. But more trauma hit when other clots showed and Karen had to go back in for more surgery on

Oct 10th to where they had to amputate above her knee. Leaving her with no help, a new place to live and no leg from the knee down. It's a whole new way of life with not being able to work and figure everything out on this new adventure. Please help if you can with anything. Karen needs help with medical bills, personal bills, food, necessities, etc. She is lost right now mentally, emotionally and physically. Her divorce papers were signed on October 18th. With her spending her 46th birthday in the hospital due to infection and being on a wound vac. Please if you can spare anything to help her in any way possible it would be greatly appreciated.
