THEY TOOK MORE THAN OUR FOOD TRUCK — THEY TOOK YEARS OF HARD WORK, SACRIFICE & A DREAM.
HELP KABAYAN DREAMFLOAT START OVER

Since 2018, Kabayan Dreamfloat has been more than just a business.
It started with a simple dream: to share Filipino food, culture and happiness with the community in Eindhoven.
We started small, joining events wherever we could — including Pasar Malam and many events that were not specifically Filipino.

Over the years, we moved from Woenselmarkt to Kalmoesplein and eventually to Kastelenplein, all in Eindhoven.
Every move brought new challenges.
But we kept going.
We worked.
We saved.
We sacrificed.
And step by step, we built something of our own.

IN 2024, A DREAM WE HAD WORKED YEARS FOR FINALLY CAME TRUE.
After years of hard work, we were finally able to buy our own food truck.
That truck became an incredibly important part of Kabayan Dreamfloat.
It allowed us to travel to Filipino events, festivals, gatherings and celebrations throughout the Netherlands.

We served Filipino food not only to our Filipino community, but also to people from many different backgrounds and nationalities who discovered Filipino cuisine through us.
We saw people smile over our food.
We met families.
We made friends.
We connected communities.
We proudly represented Filipino culture.
And every event reminded us why we started in the first place.
That food truck represented years of our lives.
It wasn't simply a vehicle.
It carried our equipment, our investment, our income, our memories — and countless hours of hard work.

THEN, ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2026, EVERYTHING CHANGED.
Our food truck was parked in front of our store at Kastelenplein Shopping Center in Eindhoven.
And somehow, it was stolen.
Gone.

In one night, something we had spent years working for was taken away from us.
Imagine working for years to build a small business, finally achieving something you had dreamed about, and then waking up one morning to discover that it is simply gone.
That is what happened to us.

ACTUAL FOOTAGE OF THE THEFT

OUR STORY HAS ALSO BEEN SHARED BY LOCAL MEDIA
We are incredibly grateful that our story has been noticed and shared by media and community platforms in Eindhoven.

News coverage:

We are sharing these articles so people can learn more about what happened and help spread the word.

WE TRIED EVERYTHING WE COULD.
We reported the theft to the police.
We tried to find additional camera footage.
We contacted others and searched for possible recordings.
Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain additional footage and were told that the case could not be followed up further.
So we turned to social media.
We shared photos and information about the stolen food truck.
We asked people to keep their eyes open.
We hoped that someone, somewhere, might recognize it.
We hoped for even one small piece of information that could lead us back to our truck.
But despite all our efforts...
we still haven't found it.

BUT THERE IS ANOTHER PART OF THIS STORY.
Behind Kabayan Dreamfloat is a woman who is not only fighting to rebuild a business.
She is also fighting for her life.
The owner is currently facing recurring breast cancer and has already gone through an incredibly difficult journey.
Despite everything she has been through, she continued working.
She kept going.
She continued building Kabayan Dreamfloat.
She sacrificed so much to create what the business is today.
The food truck gave her something to keep working for — something she had built with her own hands and with the support of the people around her.
And now, while she is already facing one of the toughest battles of her life, she is also facing this devastating loss.
The food truck is gone.
And unfortunately, we did not have insurance that covered the truck.

WE DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP.
We could walk away.
But after everything we have built since 2018, we want to try one more time.

Our goal with this fundraiser is to help Kabayan Dreamfloat get back on its feet and raise enough funds to start again with another food truck.
We want to return to the events.
We want to continue serving Filipino food.
We want to continue bringing people together.
We want to continue sharing Filipino culture.
We want to keep the dream alive.

Because...
THE TRUCK WAS STOLEN.
BUT THE DREAM DOESN'T HAVE TO DISAPPEAR.

Every donation — big or small — brings us one step closer to a new beginning. Anything you can give means more to us than you know.

Can't donate? Please share this fundraiser.
One share could reach someone who can help us rebuild.

HELP US START OVER.
We are not simply asking for help to replace a vehicle.
We are asking for help to:
Rebuild an income.
Restart a small business.
Return to the road.
Continue serving our community.
And give someone who has already been through so much another chance.

Please help Kabayan Dreamfloat get back on the road.

NEDERLANDS

We werkten.
We spaarden.
We brachten offers.

We ontmoetten gezinnen.
We maakten vrienden.
We brachten gemeenschappen samen.

We willen Filipijns eten blijven serveren.
We willen mensen blijven samenbrengen.
We willen onze Filipijnse cultuur blijven delen.
We willen de droom levend houden.
Want...
