Jacks medical expenses
Donation protected
Jack is a sweet little 4 year-old boy, who this past June contracted a very rare neurological disease that attacked his spinal cord. It's called Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM). Within days , Jack was paralyzed and placed on a ventilator because his lungs stopped functioning.
He went from being a healthy, active 3 year-old, home with a newborn brother, to a very sick little guy. He was flown to Kennedy Krieger Hospital in Baltimore where he stayed for months. Then back to Wolfsons Children's Hospital here in Jacksonville FL. And now back home with his family. But life is far from back to normal. He now has a trach tube to breathe and a G-tube to deliver food to his stomach.
He has numerous therapys and doctors appointments weekly.
Therapists are working with Jack to gain some movement in his feet or hands so he can operate a power wheelchair.
Traveling to therapy's and doctors appointments is extremely difficult.
The family needs a wheelchair accessible van, and other medical equipment for Jack.
Medical bills are extremely high for a kiddo that is so medically complex.
Please help us, help Jack and his family through this tough time they are facing.
Thank you so much!
