Help Butters Recover from Emergency Surgery
Donativo protegido
Butters' emergency surgery last week to remove urinary calculi (stones) was successful, despite the odds. He continues to recover at UPenn's New Bolton Center, under the best veterinary care.
Great news, we have a generous donor match up to $1500! If we reach it, we can cover the hospital bill and possibly some of Butters’ aftercare expenses.
You may know that Butters has had this surgery twice before, and you may have supported him then, as well. Since Butters is genetically predisposed to developing stones, this surgery has given him an extension of life that was not guaranteed. We don't know how much longer he will be with us, but we will make every day count.
Butters was rescued from a life of exploitation as a "party goat rental" because of people who cared. He's gone from a scared, sick baby to a confident, happy, social boy! If you can donate any amount to his lifesaving procedure, it will help with the $2500 minimum estimate, and follow up costs.
While the Bloomsbury Herd is not 501(c)(3), we operate as a true vegan microsanctuary in accordance with MRC standards. You are welcome to arrange a visit. We are grateful for all friends of the goats who understand that their lives have intrinsic value and they exist for their own purpose, not ours.
