Help Save Mabel ❤️

Hi, my name is Lyndsey, and this is my sweet dog, Mabel. She’s only two years old and has been the light of my life since the day I brought her home. She’s my very first dog of my own, and to say she’s special to me is an understatement — she’s truly family.

Recently, Mabel became very ill. At first, the vet thought it was just a broken rib and sent us home with pain medication. But over the past few days, her condition got much worse. She stopped eating, became extremely weak, and just wasn’t acting like herself. My heart broke watching her decline, so I rushed her to the emergency vet.

After running tests, they discovered fluid in her lungs — blood. Mabel now has to stay at the emergency hospital so they can treat her, monitor her breathing, and try to get her stable. The vets have told me that if her condition doesn’t improve, we’ll have to face the heartbreaking decision of whether to continue treatment or consider her quality of life… which could mean putting her down.

I can’t imagine losing her, especially when she’s only two years old and still has so much life left to live. Mabel is one of the most loving, happy dogs you could ever meet. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her silly personality and sweet spirit. My home — and my heart — would be so empty without her.

The costs of her emergency care are adding up quickly, and I’m doing everything I can to give her the best chance at recovery. My goal is to raise $5,000 to cover her hospital stay, treatments, and ongoing care. Every dollar will go directly toward saving Mabel and keeping the option of putting her down off the table completely.
