Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and asking for help as my son and I have recently become homeless through no fault of our own. After everything we’ve been through—including losing all of our savings on a motel and having our only vehicle break down (we were also ripped off by the person we bought it from)—we are now stuck without reliable transportation. I need to get the vehicle fixed and insured as soon as possible so I can take my son to school, get back to work and get us into an apartment before the school year starts in August.
My son has been working so hard on his academics and health goals—he’s on the presidential honor roll at acc and his high school ahs , was accepted into the EPIC campus program again for next year, and dreams of earning a letter jacket for wrestling next year, he wants to study art, music and business, and even though we’ve had to miss all his summer camps because of our situation he still plans to aim to be his best in the wrestling team next year , . As a mom, I’ve always put his well-being (mental, emotional, physical & spiritual health) and education first, and it breaks my heart that we’re here now. The people we were living with became abusive and manipulative, stealing from us, gaslighting us and causing so much pain , confusion and drama which was definitely not at all helping us heal and rebuild after the massive destructive devastating loss we already had taken in 2019 which forces us to move where we were living, I never thought they would actually force us into homelessness as they threatened while laughing because I stood up for myself and my child and maintained boundaries as I learned to do through therapist and psychology readings,....but here we are.
I would not be asking if I wasn't in absolute desperate need —this is the last straw for me. Any help, even just $5/$20 or a share with your friends on socials means the world to us and gets us one step closer to stability and a brighter future . Thank you so much for reading and for any support you can give.
