Help Egee Mabolis!

Egee Mabolis, a beloved figure in the Silverlake community where he has been the parking lot guard at the local Trader Joe's for many years, was badly injured in a bicycling accident on November 20. He is at USC Hospital in Los Angeles, and so far is without feeling in his arms and legs. Egee does not have health insurance, and is far from his home and family in the Philipines. As everyone who knows him will tell you, Egee is one of the kindest, most cheerful, generous, and optimistic people you will ever meet. If you don't believe me, just check out this story about him that appeared in LA Weekly a while back. Assuming he regains the use of his limbs, Egee will have to learn how to walk again, and faces a long and painful recovery. The money raised here will be used to help offset his medical costs and the loss of income he faces during this extremely challenging time.
