Nancy is my sister and best friend in the world! She is in for the fight of her life with metastatic breast cancer in her lung.
As many of you know, Nancy has been a nurse for over 30 years helping families bring new life into the world by delivering babies. Most of the time things went well, but in those 30 years, there have been times where the mother or baby did not survive or there were severe complications and Nancy was a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, a friend to a stranger when they needed it most. Now it is Nancy who needs a friend, potentially even from a stranger, when she needs it most. This is Nancy’s 3rd major bout with cancer and her resources are now tapped. Please donate if you can, but even if you can’t, please share this page so that others may be able to help.
Because Nancy is now on disability, and too young for Medicare, she will be forced to COBRA her health insurance with the Union Hospital. This will bring her costs upwards of $700 per month plus co-pays. Just one of her medications, Ibrance, which can only be ordered through select specialty pharmacies, sells for $9,850 for a month’s supply before any discounts. Nancy is not yet sure what her co-pay will be for this drug alone.
Any help you can give to her would be greatly appreciated and used only towards medical co-pays, insurance, and related health care costs.

Her family, children, and grandchildren are hoping and praying that she can beat this and remain healthy and happy for many years to come.
