Welcome to our page! I am blessed and thankful that you have taken the time to look at this page and hope that you will find our story inspiring. First off, I would like to say that those of you who know us know that we do not like to display our life on the Internet for all to see. However we think this story is worth sharing and ask that you may feel compelled to help make our biggest dream a reality in any way you can.
Scotty and I first met when I was 18 and he was 21 and have been happily married since June 14, 2008. Being a young couple and not yet having “grown up” jobs, we believed that we should have an education and careers before perusing a family. We worked hard and both went to school at the same time, pinching pennies to make ends meet, knowing one day we would get there and be ready to start our family.
By April 2011 we were both on our last semesters of college and ready to make the leap from a couple to a family. After a couple years of no success (now being winter 2013), we consulted with our physician, who ran tests and ended up putting me on hormones. I had horrible side effects from the medications and after it was clear that path was not working, she referred us to a specialist in Kansas City. There, we both had to undergo more tests and I was put on several different medications to try to stimulate my hormones and make me ovulate to prepare my body for IUI (Intrauterine Insemination aka artificial insemination). This procedure failed (now being spring 2014), and at this point we felt compelled to pursue having a family in a different way. Therefore we have decided to pursue domestic infant adoption and provide for a child who needs us.
This of course is a very expensive process, one that we cannot alone fulfill. We are asking for any kind of assistance that can be offered, whether it be through financial donations, advice, or thoughts and prayers. Below we have broken down the costs so that you can see where and at which point we need every dollar. After you have made a donation there is also a Facebook page you can follow as we post updates throughout our journey.

We are very excited for this new adventure and hope that with your generous donations and gracious prayers that we will finally be able to bring our baby home.
Lawyer/court Expenses: $10,000
Home Study Fee: $1,800

Since we are going through a private adoption, I have updated our expenses, which is much less than originally.
