Hello friends and family I am reaching out to you on behalf of my sister Lisa Straube Morgan. She has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer. In case you haven't heard of this one, it is a rare and aggressive type of cancer. By the time she was diagnosed it had already spread to her hip bone and the lymph nodes in her chest. She has met with specialists at Northwestern University who are consulting with her oncologist to determine the best treatment options. As you can imagine the cost of cancer treatment can be quite expensive, and insurance companies do not always cover all medical expenses. She has already had to fight with her insurance company just to cover the diagnostic testing which has delayed her treatment. I am starting a Go fund me campaign to help with the expenses related to her illness.
Lisa has been working as a reading specialist and Special Education Teacher in an elementary school in Fisher, IL. This is a job that she is very passionate about so you better believe she is going to fight like hell to get back to her job and to her students. She had just successfully finished raising money online to provide furniture and supplies to improve her classroom. Lisa also has two beautiful children at home, her almost 7 year old son Danny and almost 16 year old daughter Carolyn. These children need their mother and she is going to fight this so she can be there for her kids. Lisa also has an amazing husband, Dave, who is doing everything in his power to help her through this.
Lisa is a fighter but she cannot fight this battle alone. She is going to need all of the help she can get. Please help me to spread the word so we can raise as much money as possible so that Lisa and her family can focus on her health and not have to worry about the medical expenses.
