Sometimes, you have friends & supporters encourage you to do crazy things. Well, someone I play Ultimate with suggested I do David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge.
And then a member who runs Ultramarathons co-signed it, so now it's a thing.
4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. 48 miles in 2 days.
With a side of sleep deprivation.
In order to get through the nightmare from Friday March 5th 8pm to Sunday March 8th at 8pm, I'm doing a fundraiser for an awesome person with an awesome cause:
Janel Young's 'JY Originals Scholarship for Creatives'
"Many creatives have an enduring commitment to inspire through creativity but need financial assistance to bring their next idea to life. Artist and community advocate Janel Young is excited to offer this $1,000 award to a young creative to pursue a current or future project."
Janel first offered this scholarship to a young artist, Starling, in January of 2021.
The next round of applications go live October 23rd 2021, which is "Janel Young Day" proclaimed by the City of Pittsburgh.
In a country where art often gets undervalued, Janel's work brings to light the importance of artists.

A Pittsburgh (Beltzhoover) native, Janel has recently had her art featured during the 2020 US Open, Yahoo.com, and has painted murals in cities across the United States.
A doer & creator of many things, among them she is a painter, muralist, creator, & community artist in residence.
Janel is also a beast in the gym and has kept Coach Khyla (GHP's Assistant Coach) busy with challenging her to reach new heights with herself physically. They about to shut the summer down
