2020 4-H Camp Middlesex Appeal

We are reaching out to the camping community to help preserve 79 years of history that hundreds of individuals have worked so hard to provide traditional camping experiences to thousands of campers.  Experiences where campers make new friends, learn new life skills, and come away with wonderful memories that last a lifetime.  In today's digital technological world, the opportunity to "unplug" and communicate with fellow youth in a fun and safe setting has never been more valuable.

2020 has been a challenging year as we had to install a new septic system this spring, and then our overnight camping program was cancelled due to Covid regulations for the state of Massachusetts.  While we have been able to run a successful day camp program,  summer revenues have been significantly impacted.

It has been projected that camp will need to raise $200,000 to meet its financial obligations through spring 2021.   An anonymous donor has provided a donation of $60,000, and has challenged us to raise the rest.  In addition to this direct appeal, we are also actively searching for grant and business donor opportunities.
