Antonia and Dominick’s Fight for Justice & Recovery

On January 10, 2026, 19 year old Dominick Hobbs was shot in the back by a Springfield Police officer in Springfield, Illinois. As a result of this shooting, Dominick has been declared paralyzed. He is so young. The Illinois State Police in Springfield are currently investigating the Springfield Police Department regarding this incident. At this time, we are unable to share the full details of what occurred. Body camera footage has not been released, and no official police report has been made available. This lack of information has been extremely frustrating and painful for Dominick’s family, especially as they wait for answers they believe will ultimately come to light once all evidence is released.

Antonia is currently unable to work and is experiencing immense emotional distress. She is also caring for her other children while navigating this sudden and devastating change to their lives. This will be a long and difficult road for their family. We are asking for support to help with legal expenses as Dominick and his family seek justice, medical and long-term care expenses related to Dominick’s paralysis, and basic living support for Toni and the children during this time.

Any donation, prayer, share, or message of support is deeply appreciated. Thank you for standing with Antonia and Dominick during their fight for justice and recovery.
