Justice for the Millbrook twins

Donation protected
For 30 years, my twin sisters, Jeannette and Dannette Millbrook, have been missing. They were just 15 years old when they disappeared in March of 1990.

Our family received no help from the police, who wrote off my sisters as “unruly runaways” and improperly closed their case. They were even deleted from NCMEC, which was incredibly damaging to their case. The case stayed closed for over 20 years, and was only reopened when Sheriff Roundtree was elected in 2013. Since then, a podcast and an Oxygen documentary have been made about my sisters’ case, but there has been no movement from the sheriff’s department. There have been at least four investigators assigned, but we still have no answers. Our family worked to crowdfund a reward that has still not been officially announced in Augusta.

This never should have happened, and we have tried everything we can think of to get movement in the twins’ case. We’ve had thirty years of sleepless nights, heartache, and the knowledge that our sisters received none of the attention of other, high profile missing persons—even though missing twins are very rare, and should have attracted national media coverage. Race and class have affected this case from the very beginning.

We are raising funds for two purposes: 1) to retain a lawyer to help us pursue our sisters’ case and its wrongful closing, and 2) to fund a private investigator who can move the case forward and follow up on leads that have not been explored by law enforcement.

This fundraiser is separate from the billboard fund, which The Fall Line Podcast manages. They handle the payments to keep the twins' reward billboard up in Augusta.
