Just Around The Pointe

I am a female kayaker who has a medical diagnosis of Rheumatoid Auto Immune Disease.


I am trying to inspire other people, with chronic  health conditions, that their life is precious and valuable and they can still find the strength to get up and do the things that they love!

I will be attempting to kayak 4,200 miles in 10 months.

My route includes all 5 of the Great Lakes.


                 I am NOT asking you to fund a vacation!


I will be cold, fatigued, and hurting.
I will be fighting not only exhaustion but also Rheumatoid Flares along the way.
My skin will chaff and bleed.

This will be one of the hardest things that I will ever do in my life.

My message to the people that will be following me is:  "Dont give up! Dont ever let anyone tell you what you cant do,...  rather, show them what you CAN do!"

I am going to need places to camp at everynight and people willing to meet me a long the shore with food.
