Junior Golf Travel Expenses

Hello,

My name is Darnell and I am fundraising to assist my daughter to fulfill her dreams of becoming an elite golfer. Teria is currently 10 years old and has been playing golf since she was 5. She has progressed tremendously year over year, through hard work, perseverance, and just practice, practice, practice. We've found that the greatest way to learn and progress has been through just getting out on the course and playing. At the time of writing this, her current golf handicap is 7.4. For anyone familiar with golf and especially for my fellow weekend golfers, I can say that's pretty darn good for a kid. As junior golfers age up, the amount of golf play increases and the locations expand. As a minority golfer, in particular, it is imperative to get exposed to larger events to learn the process and procedures involved with qualifying for these national and international competitions. As a family, we've learned of many opportunities that are available for young golfers, but there are obstacles when it comes to the expenses involved to travel to most of these events. There have been many efforts by golf organizations, sports figures, and celebrities alike, to grow the game of golf to underserved communities. I believe it can happen by taking one child at a time and elevating them to achieve greatness. Hence, my reason for starting this campaign. Through our own faith, hard work, and dedication, we will always find a way to help keep our young golfer moving forward, but this campaign can surely help get her to more tournaments. I pray that you can assist our family and help our little "pooh bear" shine.
