Junegee's Ramp Van
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Dylan.
Our son, Junegee, has CP (Cerebral Palsy) and uses a wheelchair to get around. For his entire life, we've lifted him in and out of his chair and then the chair itself into the van to get around, which has been not-ideal, but doable.
As Junegee has gotten older and bigger, though, this has become a greater and greater challenge, especially for my wife, who is now developing arthritis as a result of the transportation involved in simple things like taking him to school, to parks, to all the things that make up life.
So...
We need a van with a ramp where he can ride in the van in his wheelchair, have the freedom and independence to get himself in and out of the vehicle, and for us not to have to awkwardly lift him out of his wheelchair while simultaneously not throwing out our backs and not hitting his head on the doorway.
Now, we ask you to help us get this for Junegee. These vans are not cheap. We just spent what little money we had for building a home that is accessible to Junegee, and pulling off a van right on the heels of that is proving more challenging than we'd expected, but it isn't less necessary. We need this van. We'd love your help in getting it.
Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to offer. To say we'd appreciate it is a complete understatement, and if we get it, and you help out, you get shotgun whenever you want.
