Juice, We got Your Back
Donation protected
Julius ‘Juice’ Collins III has been a pillar of the Twin Cities music and theater scene for over 30 years. In theater you’ve seen him in shows such as Smokey Joe’s Cafe and Jelly’s Last Jam. In music you’ve seen him fronting bands such as Dr. Mambo’s Combo and Greazy Meal…but even the strongest pillar needs support every now and then.
Julius has to have not one, but TWO back surgeries in the next few months (Cervical spinal fusion followed by Lumbar spinal fusion) which will require several months of rehab and convalescence, not to mention just as many months unable to do the work that fuel his spirit and the work we all celebrate him for! In addition, complications from a recent bout with COVID have delayed his 1st back surgery by 4-6 weeks.
Being a pillar and a frequent fixture on various stages across the twin cities does come with its perks…but rarely–if ever–does it come with paid vacation, sick leave or health insurance. It is for these reasons that we’re reaching out to you all.
While usually the last person to ask for help, Julius is one of the first to offer it…We would like to invite you to help Julius by joining our campaign and making a contribution today. Any and every amount will help, and your generosity will be greatly appreciated. Our collective prayers, enthusiasm, and support will have our “pillar” standing straight and tall in no time.
We’d like to thank you in advance for spreading the word, and for your willingness to act on this opportunity to help our friend and brother Julius Collins lll and his family navigate this tough and unexpected journey…because when it’s all said and done, we just want him to know - “Julius, we got your back!”
