Hey all .....
Welcome to the ( gofundme) for
J.R. ( Junior) Ruppel
Junior has been diagnosed with debilitating COPD and complications as a result and in tandem ... sadly it’s a disease that does not come with prognosis of a cure ... bluntly , it’s just going to get worse ..
While he’s receiving care from some excellent Salt Lake City medical professionals , this condition has left him severely debilitated, he can no longer work , much less , somedays ,walk across the room ... his Utah disability is in the monthly low ( very low) hundreds of dollars, not enough to cover rent and basic cost of living expenses ...
while we ( his friends and family ) are looking at long term care options and various treatments that can perhaps mitigate the deterioration... there is an immediate need for financial help ..
There are numerous ideas for future fund raising ... however , this is a urgent call for help ...
There’s no bells or prizes ... no tiered contributor levels ... with special colored keepsakes ...
Juniors contribution to the world of music speaks for itself ... from bringing punk and bad ass bands to Salt Lake ... to his 20 years in the Jackmormons.. his place in the Salt Lake and greater JMO world ..has been simply one of a kind ... and our lives are so much the better for it.
As there is no “aging musician “ back up plan ... Spotify royalties being literally pennies ...
My hope is that the music community can step up .... and tho I bang this drum repeatedly for kids in refugee camps etc ...I am frantically and loudly banging it again ..
Those of you that know me , know I hate the word “family “ bandied about a music scene to imply I’m some how related to the sketchy promoter stiffing my band ....
however .... this is Junior ... this is as family as it gets ... you only get one of these punk rock big bird skirt wearing lunatics that sings like a 12 year old girl .... just one ....
