My name is Leslie Baldwin my mom Nancy Borjes and I have just learned that a friend of ours has an aggressive form of breast cancer , which is bad enough, but you may recall Joy’s younger son passed away in February of this year. This experience was of course Devastating to Joy.

Just as she was coming to terms with this loss , Joy lost her job and as a result of that, her health insurance.

In November she learned that she had an aggressive form of breast cancer which required immediate treatment.

She has a cancer that is triple negative invasive carcinoma. 

Treatment will consist of chemotherapy every two weeks , then every week collectively for six months. Followed by surgery and radiation therapy.

At that point , there will be an assessment of the cancers progression and a decision will be made about the next course of action.

2020 has been a difficult year for everyone but just imagine dealing with Covid , and all the personal grief that Joy has had.

We are setting up a Go Fund Me page for Joy to help with her medical expense and perhaps ease some of the angst of this year.
