Help Joshua Williams after his mom's sudden death

Hi, my name is Anne Silva and I'm fundraising for Josh Williams. As many of you recall – Our great friend and colleague Carolyn Williams died unexpectedly on Nov. 19, 2022. Carolyn left behind relatives, friends, colleagues, and a lot of people who benefitted over the years from her profound impact on various communities.

Carolyn also left behind Joshua Williams, her 26-year-old son, whom she adopted when he was small and had special needs. Carolyn singlehandedly raised Josh as a single mom and provided him with all the medical, educational care, and love that he needed so that he could thrive! However, with his mom and best friend gone, Josh can now use help from those who loved Carolyn. As you can imagine, it takes a lot to maintain what someone who has died suddenly has left behind. These include unexpected bills, house payments, funeral expenses and other expenses that someone Josh's age shouldn't have to face alone. While Carolyn has provided for Josh in her estate, it may take months to settle and he is now experiencing financial insecurity he is not used to while these matters can be straightened out with an executor. Additionally, Josh – who was an only child – put together money for the funeral and other expenses related to her death. While Josh has a part-time job as an Uber Eats driver while he figures out his life without his mom – who was also his best friend – I have volunteered to come forward and ask the community who loved Carolyn so much (and Josh) to help with whatever temporary funding you can provide. Let’s help Josh out so he can grieve his mother while also not experiencing the additional burden of stress that financial insecurity brings!
