In Memory of Jordan Demers!
Donation protected
I would like to personally thank everyone that supported Jordan through his journey battling cancer. Surrounded by his wife, family and dearest friends, Jordan passed on to be with the Lord on Monday April 22nd at 3:30 in the afternoon. Jordan was a WARRIOR during his journey and the support of everyone was a blessing and I know Jordan was so very thankful for that! Jordan kept telling me that he was going to pay everyone back when he got better. We love you all for supporting him and allowing him to attempt every treatment possible. Funeral arrangements are being planned and will be announced soon. Hug the ones you love! ❤️
Any other donations made will assist the family in laying Jordan to rest.
Jordan was diagnosed March 2022 with T-Cell Histiocyte Rich Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Since then he has been battling so hard to beat it with very limited success. Over these two years, Jordan has been through so many setbacks. To start, he has attempted 8 different chemo/immunotherapy treatments with a lot of side effects and not much progress on the disease - possibly mutation of it. Also on his journey, he has had some major problems that were very life-threatening. He has been in ICU three times, had blood clots, internal bleeds, muscle atrophy, reactions to medicines, Neurotoxicity of the brain, and many other challenges. In the beginning of January, Jordan was checked into Moffitt with some blood level issues. At that time the Moffitt doctors came into the room and advised that the disease was growing rapidly and he needed to try the 8th treatment to try and slow it down. The other option was for him to go home on “supportive care” and be with his family. Jordan chose to fight! He said, Adam, I will not give up, and I will fight until the end for my daughter and my family. Jordan then had a severe reaction, encephalopathy and stopped breathing. He was intubated, yet kept fighting to survive. Jordan woke up a few days later and battled getting healthy for a month in the hospital. Moffitt was out of options for treatment and a decision was made to seek alternative care. On February 10th Jordan was transported via ground medical transport from Moffitt to The Burzynski clinic in Houston, Texas. He started treatment (antineoplaston therapy)on February 15 and will remain in Texas for another week or so until he will come home and continue daily treatment from there. This new treatment is not covered by insurance and will cost approximately $17,000-$20,000 per month for the next 3-6 months. With the last GoFundMe donations that he received from you all, he was able to get to Houston and begin treatment, but he is in need of some more help! This journey with Jordan, watching him battle some of the toughest situations that anyone could endure he has always had such a great attitude, positive mindset, determination to survive, and complete faith in our savior Jesus Christ. He has taught me so much about life watching him fight with no doubt in his mind that one day he will beat cancer. Out of all of the things Jordan has to worry about, I want to take the new financial burden off of his mind. From this point forward, I will be posting updates of his progress on this GoFundMe as much as possible. Jordan is extremely thankful for anything you can donate. We love you Jordan, you are a warrior, a great dad to Meira, and a fantastic best friend. Please donate if you can. Love you all for all of your support!
