Jonathan “JJ” Jones was involved in a severe accident—days before his 17th Birthday and Christmas. JJ is a determined student at Mandarin High (where his mom is the Dean). Heavily involved in his community, he’s an active member of several organizations: Mandarin High football, Mandarin High NJROTC , the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Chick-fil-A Leadership Club. He is also the Founding President of the Hoods of HOPE.

What should be a joyful season has now turned into a difficult time for this family. Since the accident, JJ has undergone 2 surgeries and multiple blood transfusions. Still in the ICU, he will endure many months of recovery and intensive therapy once he is able to leave the hospital.

In addition to the physical and emotional trauma, JJ’s family must now worry about unforeseen financial trauma. Due to the nature of the accident, they have been told that their insurance company will not cover any of the medical expenses.
