Scars Lifesaving surgery

Scar is our beautiful 2 year old cat, he suffers from feline idiopathic cystitis. It is a terribly painful, turbulent disease and we never know when he will flare up again. The cause of the diseases is unknown, when he flares he cannot pee. If he doesn’t pee within a few hours the potassium in his urine will travel to his kidneys and kill him. Scar has been in and out of the emergency hospital since January, he had one emergency surgery that costs us thousands and is on medication around the clock. There is no cure, but what we do know is scar can have a surgery that will shorten his penis and allow him to pee with ease. Scar is a very high risk patient, his life is in danger without this surgery. As parents we are doing everything we can for him and that means shamelessly asking for help to save our baby.
