Blossom Together is a student-led humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting living standards in African countries. From water wells to cataract surgeries to food packages, the effort has provided support in five different countries to date. To this day, Blossom Together has raised hundreds of thousands in aid, partnered with various reputable institutions like the World Bank, and helped thousands in need. Across more than 20 universities, students from coast to coast work together as part of a collective effort.

At Princeton, we’re proud to lead our own chapter and are excited to actively engage in fundraising efforts that drive this cause forward!

This year, we are focusing our efforts on Benin. For the 2025–2026 academic year, the Princeton chapter aims to fund five water wells, 100 cataract surgeries, and as many food packages as possible.

So far this past semester, together with contributions from other university chapters, our collective efforts have helped fund three water wells, 50 cataract surgeries, and food and care packages for children in need—providing approximately three months of support for the orphanage Village des Orphelins SOS Vikponagninu.

Over winter break, members of the Princeton chapter traveled to Benin to witness and learn from the impact of this work firsthand.

Through this fundraiser, we aim to complete our remaining goals: fund two additional water wells, support 50 more cataract surgeries, and continue extending our support to Village des Orphelins SOS Vikponagninu with food assistance throughout the year.

In Benin:

A single water well costs $2,900

Each cataract surgery costs $150

A food package costs approximately $120
