Join Mugsy's Journey to Beat Cancer
Spende geschützt
Mugsy is the sweetest, loving rescue pup and was recently diagnosed with cancer, soft tissue sarcoma. A mass appeared out of nowhere right above his eye and we immediately got him seen by the vet and that’s when we got the news. We were shocked because of how “normal” he is, still very energetic, playing with his brother, and living like nothing is wrong. Unfortunately in a matter of time that wont be the case unless he undergoes treatment. In order to save his life we were told he will have to have an intensive surgery to remove the mass which includes removing his eye and then have 18 treatments of radiation. The surgery and the radiation can be curative and lead him to live many more years of a happy, healthy life after treatment. He is my soulmate and I will do everything to save him, unfortunately the expenses are a lot. We have spent $5,500 so far, the surgery which will be done this Thursday is also around $5,500 and the radiation treatments have been estimated to be between $10k-15k. Astronomical numbers I know but he is soooo worth every penny. He is the most AMAZING dog and puts a smile on everyone’s face he comes across. He has already had such a rough beginning in his life and was rescued after being found in a dumpster down south. He had to have surgery right after for a hernia caused by severe abuse and he made it out of that stronger than ever. Please help me in making sure he makes it out of this too. Any support is appreciated. Thank you.
Update: Mugsy had his surgery and he is doing amazing, missing eye and all! We also received the estimate for radiation and it is almost $15k plus I need to pay to stay down near Yonkers, NY as no where near here can take him until September which is too long since regrowth is a concern which radiation will prevent.

Below is the estimate for radiation and the invoices we have already paid to Tufts and Animal Specialty Center thus far. Some invoices are a little cut off, but it is the way GoFundMe crops images. This doesn't include the thousands we paid before this at our vet when they tried to treat the lump themselves before they sent us off to Tufts for additional imaging.
