This fall, our good friend John Tong—star designer, creative tour de force, and principal of tongtong+ —suffered a severe stroke while enjoying time with his family. The accident left him paralyzed on his right side, compromised his speech and presented his family with life-altering circumstances. While his prospects for recovery are excellent, he has motor deficits that will require months of intense physical rehabilitation before he can work again.

While blessed to have received good medical care, John and his family are faced with a windfall of expenses that are not covered by any plan and the costs are piling up daily. He will spend the next several months in a care facility working on his rehabilitation; meanwhile, his home will need to be retrofitted to accommodate a wheelchair.


We are raising funds to help John and his family to get through this crucial period.

John's wife, Anne and his extended family, have been by his side nearly every moment since the incident. Anne, in particular, has been an inspiration. While this incredible hardship has unfolded, she has supported their three children, Uma, Maelle, and Luka in addition to managing a fast paced, creative business. Over the last five years, as business and life partners, Anne and John have worked tirelessly to establish their business —finally reaching international recognition and success when this tragedy occurred.

John and his family need our help. Please donate anything that you can to help pay for some of these mounting expenses. Their family has a very long road with big obstacles ahead of them. Hopefully with the help and support of his friends, colleagues and family we can assist to alleviate some of the financial burden.
